I must say, this past weekend kinda felt like a dream. It's almost impossible to believe my baby Dylan is baptized! It went by so fast, I'm still trying to grasp it. But happen it did, and it was such a special day for our family. We did the stake baptism thing, so Dylan was baptized with 3 girls from other wards. We did get to add a special touch to it though. My little Kennady came to me a few weeks ago and said she wanted to give Dylan a special present for his baptism; she wanted to sing him a song! So we practiced and practiced. I played the piano and she sang "When I am Baptized." I wish I could've been taking pictures and playing the piano at the same time! She was standing all the way up on her tippy toes so she could see her brother over the stand, and without any fear, sang the most beautiful version of that song I've ever heard. It was definitely a proud mama day! Thanks to all the family and friends that came to support Dylan and to those who supported us in spirit;). We love you all!
Before...
After...
After Dylan was baptized and confirmed, our bishop asked him if he felt any different. He thought for a minute then said, "No, not really.":) The bishop was a bit surprised, but thought that maybe it might just take a day or 2 for him to understand and feel the difference. But as I was sitting there thinking (and my sister-in-law said this same thing to me later), I wasn't surprised Dylan didn't feel any different. He has always been a good boy. He knows right from wrong. He already has a close relationship with his Father in Heaven and with the Holy Ghost. Dylan is such a special boy and an amazing example to his parents and his little sisters.
We love you buddy and we're so proud of you!

Um... does this make us old? ;) Holy cow! Congrats to Dylan! It sounds like it was a very special day! And to Kennady... brave little soul, that is amazing! They must have a really amazing mom or something! :)
